The Guiding Factor

What would have been if the lava present on the surface of the earth hadn't cooled down? Do u for once think that any of us would have been present today had that strategic moment of the earth cooling down hadn't taken place. Leave us aside....do you think even the first bacteria would have survived? I know there have been many theories stated by many famous people speculating what might have been... But the fact of the matter remains that no one really knows for sure. I mean, if u let lose ur wildest of imaginations, u might as well believe that the possibilities of the earth being filled with inhabitants of various kinds are endless. The world as we know it could have been a completely different world. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you want to believe in and what one believes in is what really matters.

My point of writing this piece of writing is not to condemn what might have been or what some theories state is wrong...my point is simple. I just want my inner self to believe that each of us has the potential to change what we see around us and that change, even if it is completely invisible to all others, is as significant a change as it can be. And I also want to believe that I, or any one else as a matter of fact, has the potential to induce the change that they wish to...all that is required is some serious dedication and some serious effort. Now the point is that how does one make a serious effort. Because thinking of something good is easy...trying to make that thing work for you is a task which requires an effort not everyone can put in. That willingness to make an effort will come only if there is a strong determination, and finding that determination can be a real pain in the ass, both literally and figuratively. So my job as of today is to find out that piece of determination that will make me want to make an effort to achieve my dream...and that too at the earliest...for the time is less and there are millions of dreams to be realized and fulfilled.

May God bless me, and anyone else who has a dream in the heart and a vision in the eyes. May the dream soon become a reality and may the reality soon become the guiding path for all those lost in the dark.

AMEN.

Aahan Ka Asar…

Ahan

Often it is observed that people have a willingness to do something great in their lives….but seldom has anyone seen someone convert this will into HARDCORE action. And when that does happen, one is left with nothing but a feeling of Aww in the heart and a tear in the eye!

A couple of weeks back, I talked about an organization that was at the verge of making BIG news(Catch it here)…and I, more than anyone else, was waiting to see how they would plan to begin changing lives of the people who really need it. Aahan (earlier named as Food for the Soul) is an organization that has one simple mission: to feed the hungry – and bring smiles to their faces. Signifying ‘The first light of the day’, Aahan will work to bring Dawn in the lives of the many people who cannot afford it.

Their first event took place in a small orphanage in Ludhiana, Punjab, on the festival of colors, Holi. They started out with a painting competition to signify the importance of the colors in life, and showcasing to young children how colors can add beauty and happiness to it. Later, snacks and drinks were distributed, and holi was celebrated in full flavour. The day not only gave the children of the orphanage amazing memories, it also left the volunteers with a feeling of pride in the heart, and motivation to do more in the mind.

It is at times like these that one is inspired and aspires to do great things himself. If you are one of them, then you can play a part too. All you need to do is to create a facebook account (if you don’t have one already), and go to this link: Aahan (Food For The Souls). Once there, all you need to do is to hit the “Join” button, and you’re part is done. It is that Simple.

And ya, every word counts, and every hand helps. So, if you think you are a very social person with countless friends, please help to spread the word. I have always believed that good work must be appreciated, and this is indeed GOOD work. Let’s give them a chance to change lives – let’s give them a hand of our support.

Kaash ho Aahan ki jeet! :)
